Spit Ballers!

Well...Tonight was our first night in our Dodgeball league! Yes, we are in a dodgeball league! Our team, the "Spit Ballers," consists of Charlie, Tony Bologna, Jenni, Teri, Nick, Casey, Burkett and myself. We had not held a single practice and I'm not sure that would have even helped! :) We had no idea what to expect and to be quite honest with you I was pretty nervous going into the whole thing.

We showed up dressed to impress in black shirts and the ladies with knee high socks...like I said, dressed to impress. Luckily, we showed up with plenty of time to warm up. By "warm up" I mean that Charlie stretched and really warmed up and the rest of us tried to take each others' heads off with the dodgeballs! We really thought we had a chance up until the third game in row that we got smoked! We ended up losing 15-0. Dang!

Laura Hawkins (Nick's prego wife) was our only cheerleader. I'm know that she did far more laughing at us that actual cheering. I've gotta say, I'd pay good money to have that thirty minutes on video to relive for years to come! Lots of flailing about and screaching on my behalf.

Walkabout Creek!

Walkabout Creek!!!  


I am so excited to announce that Charlie and a few buddies have put together a band! They will be performing for the first time in public at 71st Street Depot on Saturday, October 10th! The Tulsa-favorite cover band "The Usual Suspects" was generous enough to share the stage to make this happen. I managed to sneak into a practice session last night and it made me so stinkin' excited for the "gig"!  I hope that all of you that read this (which might only be Trait...hehe) can come out and support my hubbie and his friends. They will be playing a mix of genres but mainly good ol' 90's rock. So if you are looking for a super doubly fun Saturday night, come on out and see Walkabout Creek!


The fun starts at 9:30 pm and will continue on into the night!

My First Blog

Hey y'all! After finally settling into married life,  I've decided to become a blogger.  I don't know what will end up on here or if anyone at all will care about the details of me and Charlie's life....but I'm EXCITED to try it out! If any of you seasoned bloggers have any tips for me, I'd love any advice.  I guess that about wraps up my first blog, but I already know there will be fun stuff to come!
